1. Manufacturing is the foundation of national prosperity and also military power
   1. A decline in manufacturing capability is a universal leading indicator of a decline in national well-being and affluence.
   2. It is a bad idea to cede this power to Mainland China, an unreliable supplier and a dangerous geopoliticial rival.
   3. A manufacturing resurgence is the only way to reverse the Federal deficit.
   4. Tariffs (2025) are yet another reaon to become self-sufficiient.
2. Eliminate the paradigm that cheap labor is really cheap, and we have a compelling argument for reshoring.
3. The good news is that proven, off-the-shelf solutions to the challenge of cheap offsore labor have been available for more than 100 years.
